Summer Chill-Out

Join us in helping Salvation Army with their Summer Chill-out project. When the temps hit 103 degrees, the Salvation Army distributes water bottles, hats (new and used), sunglasses and sunscreen to homeless men. Here at Lord of Grace we are collecting those items to help out the effort. Please leave donations in the area to the left of the church doors. On June 2^nd,the items will be delivered to the Salvation Army. Or a cash donation may be made by check made out to Lord of Grace: please write Summer Chill Out in the memo.

Job Opening – Preschool Teacher

Lord of Grace Preschool is currently seeking Christian teachers to fill a couple part-time positions for our fall 2012/2013 school year. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months experience working with children. If interested, please stop by our office at 7250 N. Our confirmation classes continue this spring with classes on Thursdays from 5:30pm to 8pm (a light dinner is included). We will be covering the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed and Lutheran doctrine.

Helping Hands Ministry

“Helping Hands” is a group of congregation members who are here to help those in need. If you are in need of meals, babysitting, housecleaning, cards, visits, transportation, any thing that will help you you can email the Helping Hands members or you can contact Dani Anich in the church office (744-7400) and get the message to us. Also, if you are available to lend a helping hand in anyway, please let us know! Wendy Frank, Melissa Elias, Fran Colyer.

Kid’s Club 2012

Kids Club, the elementary youth group at Lord of Grace, meets one or two Fridays a month from 6pm-8pm at church. Events include games, dinner, Bible-based activities and crafts. Some nights are movie nights, for the whole family, and occasionally we do social activities such as bowling.

Everyone is welcome, member or not. Open to all kids k-6. For parents, it’s a great way to get a couple hours free on a Friday while kids make some new friends and deepen their faith.

New Facebook Page

We’re switching over our Facebook presence from the “group” we had for a couple years to a new “page”. There are several advantages to the page, including, especially, that posts go directly to people’s news feeds without requiring people to check on the group page for posts. Zumba

Lord of Grace now has Zumba!! Zumba is a fun, energetic cardio workout that gets you moving!! Classes are held in the Fellowship Hall Mon/Wed/Fri from 9am-10am. These are our new summer hours. Beginning in August, we will go back to 12:15pm-1:15pm M/W/F. This is a free will donation class so there are no excuses to come on out and try it! It’s so much fun!! All levels of fitness and ages are welcome. No previous experience necessary!! Just bring some water, small towel, and wear tennis shoes! Hope to see you there!!
