It's a night of premieres right here in Tucson! Experimental instrumental ensemble S.A.N.D or the Southern Arizona New Discourses will have their first concert, lead by Caleb Hathaway, and are joined by the Neoteric Chamber Choir, lead by Dane Alexander Carten. The instrumental ensemble will perform their own set before joining Neoteric for the premiere of a new cantata entitled "Metamorphosis" by Dane Alexander Carten, a 25-minute work featuring SATB choir, soprano soloist, flute, marimba, piano, guitar, and double bass. The six-movement work explores the human experience of growth and change, featuring poetry by Dr. Jordan M Shomper, Rumi, and Omar Khayyam.
