Anna Cordes - Choir Director

Anna Cordes is currently in her final year of studies for her Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance with a Minor in German Studies. In addition to her vocal studies, she is a choral conducting student under Dr. M. Nicole Davis and holds an orchestral conducting apprenticeship under Mr. Rafael Reyes-Worman at the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra. In the spring of this year, she was the chosen undergraduate student to participate in a conducting masterclass led by Dr. Reed Criddle. Anna sings with the University of Arizona’s Symphonic Choir, is a soprano staff singer with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and is a part of Alma Vocalis - Arizona’s first professional women’s chorus. She made her opera debut in 2025 as Armelinde in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon, and can be frequently seen competing vocally at both the University of Arizona and the Opera Guild of Southern Arizona. Alongside singing, she is an accomplished pianist and recorder player. Anna enjoys bringing people together through music, and is very excited to begin serving the community at Lord of Grace Lutheran Church.
