Welcome to Lord of Grace Church.

We are a congregation of believers and explorers on the NW side of Tucson, looking to experience God and live out that relationship in our lives.

We are a community built on grace, worshiping a God of love, acceptance, inclusion, and compassion.

We are a Christian church that follows the way of Jesus. We don’t have all the answers, but we believe in searching and listening for God’s voice today.

We love the Bible, and base our teachings and practices on it, but don’t believe it is always literal, nor should it be used for judgment or to close our minds to science and reason. The Bible points us to God, and God is still speaking to us today through the Holy Spirit.

Looking for something new? A place to explore a relationship with God, but tired of judgmental, legalistic, and close-minded religion? Check us out. We’d love to have you come, explore, experience, and be a part of the journey.

How it all got started . . .

Lord of Grace was planted in 1995 to serve as a mission to the new development of Continental Ranch and the areas west of I-10. After an initial period of growth, we moved into Coyote Trail Elementary School, where we held worship for six years in the gym.

In 1981 the Lutheran Church in America purchased land at the intersection of Cortaro and Ina Roads, which at the time was mostly unpopulated. In 2001 construction began on a new building at this site, and in 2002 the new Lord of Grace building was dedicated.

Since then we have continued our outreach to the community, and have grown to include a membership that serves a greater area of NW Tucson and Marana.

After several more years of expansion a second worship service was added, so now we offer a liturgical Lutheran worship, with hymns accompanied by organ and piano, at 8:30am, and a contemporary worship, led by a praise band, at 10:30am.

You will find most of our members are a mix of life-long believers, retirees, young families with kids and several of us who are new to the faith.
