Susan Swanson

Interim Pastor

Pastor Susan Swanson is an accomplished violinist and ordained minister. She holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees form the University of Arizona. She later completed her theology program in with a 4.0 GPA. Pastor Susan Swanson then went on to many years of service as a Lutheran Pastor in Illinois and Arizona.

          Pastor Susan Swanson currently performs in two orchestras and the Desert Bluegrass Band, serves the community through her Master Gardener certification, and is currently raising two rescue foals at her property on Tucson’s east side. She comes from a deeply rooted family of faith; her brother and sister are Presbyterian pastors, and her husband, Tim Swanson—a Biblical Scholar and ELCA pastor—comes from a multi-generational family of Lutheran ministers. She has a child on each coast, happily married, and four grandchildren.  Please welcome Pastor Susan Swanson to our church!
