Prayer Connection for July 2025 Newsletter
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:19).
What’s new for you? Summer often brings a lot of change into our lives. Many people plan to relax, take a vacation, slow down a bit (in the Tucson heat, we really slow down). We may try something new, have an adventure.
This summer, at Lord of Grace, we also see many changes. Pastor Lars and his family have answered the call of God in their lives and moved to Walla Walla – may our Lord watch over their move and as they settle into their new lives. And we at Lord of Grace are also moving -- into a new part of our journey as a faith community and in our daily, personal lives.
Isaiah 43:19 speaks to us in our lives right now: See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
And we can trust in our Lord to guide us in our church community and our personal lives as we step forward in faith: Trust in the Lord with all Your heart and lean not on Your own understanding; in all Your ways submit to him, and he will make Your paths straight (Proverbs 3: 5,6).
Let us pray:
Thank you, Lord, for calling us to be part of the new things You are doing here at Lord of Grace, and for those providing spiritual leadership. Help us, guide us, Lord, to lean not just on our own understanding. May we trust in Your wisdom and guidance to make our paths straight and reveal Your way to us as a church and in our daily lives.
We pray for discernment, insight, and willingness to listen to Your Holy Spirit in all things. May we have an attitude of faith over fear, and abundance over scarcity.
Draw us closer to You that we may grow in our faith and continue to walk in Your way.
In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
The Lord of Grace Prayer Team is always here to help you with any prayer requests you may have! The Prayer Team continues to pray over all prayer petitions sent our way, including the requests entered in the prayer journal in the narthex. The Team will also continue to offer individual prayer times after each worship service on the 4th Sunday of each month.
