Outreach Team – September 2025 Newsletter Article
Our members include Chris Kollen as lead, Carol Buuck, Phyllis Teager, Patty Clymer, Gail Nicewander, Sandy Mitchel, Ruth Gross and Janette Carollo.
This month we participate in a specific God’s Work Our Hands Day, which is wonderful. Let’s remember that God calls on us to help others every day. We can do that by helping make sure our neighbors’ cupboards aren’t bare when mealtime arrives. Let’s celebrate God’s goodness, every day.

Upcoming Events
Rally Day-God’s Work Our Hands on September 7th
Lord of Grace is collecting personal hygiene items for Butler’s Pantry, to support our friends at Roadrunner Elementary throughout the month of August and into September for Rally Day. Personal care items are essential for maintaining good health and hygiene. These items may seem small, but they can make a significant impact on a person’s daily life. Maintaining adequate personal hygiene is among the biggest challenges of those living with limited means. When we donate these items we allow individuals to feel appreciated and valued which can help boost self-esteem and confidence!
The items that we will be collecting include:
Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
Deodorant
Shampoo
Body wash
Feminine hygiene products
Bar soap
Help us reach our goal of 100 Tubes of Toothpaste! Thank you so much for supporting this important outreach in our community!
Rally Day – God’s Work Our Hands
Also during Rally Day, we will make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Sister José Women’s Center. Outreach will use its funding to purchase peanut butter, jelly and bread. We’ll just need several willing sandwich makers!
Past Events
Roadrunner Elementary Backpack and School Supplies Drive
Thank you to everyone who donated school supplies and backpacks of essential and urgently needed items for vulnerable students that attend Roadrunner. Roadrunner is very appreciative!
Berega Orphanage
We received an update from Berega Orphanage on their current successes.
They started a preschool for 3-5 year olds that live close to the orphanage in May and had 15 students!
Tisho started a soccer team for 8-10 year olds and is coaching the team along with a neighbor.
Several years ago they partnered with The Go Movement to build a school in Tisho’s home village, Melele. This year they received a grant from the Matthew 15:35 Foundation that enabled them to build preschool and kindergarten classrooms and a toilet block.
Please continue to pray for their mission.
