From the Easter season sermon series I call “Finding Grace”. If the word “grace” is to mean anything at all, it has to apply to people who don’t deserve it, who didn’t earn it, who haven’t proven themselves worthy of it, who haven’t passed a means test or a morality test or a thriftiness test or a frugality test or a responsibility test – basically the way Jesus loves all of us.
Matthew 25:24-36
'Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.'
