The self-help industry relies heavily on an individual's drive to push toward being an ideal version of oneself. The "self" in "self-help" typically becomes a central focus, and while garnering a strong inner sense of will is important, we forget that we are all here together, working towards the future. "Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps," while admirable often yields less desirable than creating a sense of community, encouraging each other, and keeping accountability mutual accountability toward our goals. Other people can often see things that we can't, and a different perspective can be invaluable when we are trying to transform ourselves and the world around us. Join us while we explore the book of Hebrews, and look at the a Biblical perspective about how are to gather and encourage one another. "Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
