"You are going to hell" - Things Jesus Didn't Say

Learning to love Jesus without checking your brain at the door. Week 4 is going to continue our discussion of being an active, critical thinker in tandem with having a deep relationship with one's faith. This week will start a little sub-series of "Being an Un-Fundamentalist Christian" with "Things Jesus Didn't Say", looking at some popular beliefs about Jesus that are not actually in the Bible. This week it's about condemning people to hell, threatening people with hell, or, really, just being concerned much about hell at all, which Jesus didn't do much of.

I Am Loved - sermon May 2

You are loved by God in a way that you cannot earn, that casts out fear, suspicion, and mistrust. Fourth in the sermon series "Who Am I? Finding my identity in Christ" by Pastor Lars Hammar. Based on 1 John 4:18-21

1 John 4:18-19

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. 19 We love because he first loved us.

Grace in Inclusion - Finding Grace series 1 - April 19, 2020

In this episode of the "Finding Grace" sermon series we look at how we can demonstrate grace to others through including them and being a part of the things in their lives that are important. This episode focuses on Jesus eating with "sinners and tax collectors" and how he showed grace by being willing to eat and drink - and be seen - with them, even when it cost him social standing.
