Outreach Team – March 2026
Our members include Chris Kollen as lead, Carol Buuck, Phyllis Teager, Patty Clymer, Sandy Mitchel, Janette Carollo, Ruth Gross, Carlene Alegria, Darlene Wager and Gail Nicewander.

The Mission and Purpose of Outreach is: “…to make Christ known through Christian outreach to nurture our community, family, and personal relationship with God through living examples. Specifically, we strive to provide support and aid to those within and beyond our community, working to involve the church membership at large.”
Outreach Ministry March Project
Lutheran World Relief – Baby Care Kits
During the month of March, we will be holding a drive to collect items for baby care kits to send to Lutheran World Relief. The collection drive will run from Sunday March 8th-April 1st. Then on April 9th, we’ll get together to put the baby care kits together. In 2025, LWR provided baby care kits to Angola, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, United States, and Zimbabwe.
There will be tags for items we are collecting on the tree to select from, a signup sheet, and flyers with more information. Our goal is to put together 12 baby care kits. It’s a stretch goal from last year, so I hope everyone can help out! Any questions contact Chris Kollen – lizzykollen@comcast.net.

Feed My Starving Children
Saturday, February 7th was another successful packing event for Feed My Starving Children. I teamed up with people from Beautiful Savior’s Lutheran Church. Overall for the 2 week packing events held in Tucson, we packed 1.5 million food packets. Such a wonderful event! Thanks to all who volunteered!
Hygiene Drive to Benefit Butler’s Pantry and Marana Food Bank
Halfway through the month and we have met the goals set for the Lord of Grace February Personal Hygiene Drive! Currently, as of February 20th, we have collected over 100 tubes of toothpaste and 100 toothbrushes and almost 200 bars of soap! We still have two weeks to go and we are continuing to receive donations through the end of the month. Keep collecting-we still need shampoo, conditioner, lotion and deodorant. It is truly amazing the generosity of the LOG community ! Thank you for caring for our neighbors, and living graciously toward all!
Butler’s Pantry Work Schedule-March
The outreach team continues our work to organize and manage the Butler’s Pantry at Roadrunner Elementary. We shelve food and clothing and welcome neighbors once a month. March dates for volunteering in the Pantry are Saturday March 7 from 8am-10am and Friday March 20th from 8am-10am. Adopt a Child – Roadrunner Elementary
We received two thank you notes from parents of families we provided gifts for during the Christmas season.
Dear Donors,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the awesome Christmas gifts you gave my kids. Annilu was absolutely thrilled to get not just one, but two hamsters! She’s been wanting them forever, and it made her so happy. My son Malquiel also loved his toy car and was super excited about it. We also really appreciate the gift card. It helped us stock up on food and made things so much easier for us. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have truly made this holiday season special for our family. Thanks again for bringing so much joy and support our way! I’ve attached some photos so you can see the happy smiles on their faces.
